Ceremonies, Lifecycles and Transitions
Rituals acknowledge, celebrate and mark important moments in our lives. These may be events that have always been celebrated (graduations, weddings, memorials) or they may be transitions or turning points that have not been formally marked in the past but are important to you to lift up today. As a scholar of ritual and a pioneer in creating new rituals, I have designed and officiated at ceremonies for may different kinds of sacred moments, including: adoptions; the creation of blended families; marriages, “unweddings” and re-commitment ceremonies; name-changing rites; memorials and celebrations of life. I am open to and supportive of all family structures and relationships.
I would be honored to help you imagine, design and craft a ritual to mark any occasion or life-cycle transition that is important to you. Together, we can discuss the importance of the moment, what the goals of the ritual are and how best to create a sacred and celebratory space that honors your vision and goals. I am honored to officiate at ritual moments; I am also glad to coach anyone you may ask to lead.
